Tagaytay City, is a popular place to visit on weekends, as it is an hour’s drive by car or two hours by bus away from the capital. A well known sanctuary from the scorching heat of the city, the city also overlooks an active volcano, Taal Volcano.

Meanwhile, the calming breeze from Taal Lake, is a feature which I personally like, which is why I always make it a point to swing by whenever I get the chance. This time, I tried the Ridge Park – Kainan sa Kubo restaurant – which is an open air resto with majestic views of the famous Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.

The food is a feast – countless variations for all kinds of appetite are available for your gastronomic pleasure. Some of the notables are Beef Bulalo, Pinaputok Na Tilapia, Beef Tapa…and the now – endangered Tawilis. And to finish it off, piping hot Batangas coffee…ahh!

Can’t wait for the next time!
