The Bacoor Town Fiesta held in May, is arguably the most festive place in the Philippines time of the year.
Bacoor is known as the Marching Band Capital of the Philippines, and the highlight of the festivities is when bands from all over march down the main street to join in the festivities, put on a show and win prizes. Sponsorship for bands are not uncommon as the Hermana Mayors and friends invite good bands to come and play.
A personal favorite is the “Anak Zapote” band , founded by Prof. Hilario Rubio, the man my home street is named after.
