It has been 121 years since we enjoyed our independence. This day serves as a reminder not to take the freedom that we enjoy for granted.
Coming from the Batangueño and Rizaleño roots, it is with much pride and honor to stand and remember our heroes, who spent their lives for the sake of our country. This battle for independence is a never-ending battle. It is important to be socially aware and to know what is going on in our country.
Our journey may have just begun. It is a freedom but, also a duty, to work for the progress of our nation. The best thing we can do is to make ourselves worthy of that sacrifice. #Lupang Hinirang
