Historical Landmark. Site where Gen. Douglas McArthur landed on October 20, 1944 to liberate the Philippines from Japanese forces. A must visit in Tacloban City. Just 15 minutes away from Tacloban City. In order to regain my strength from Work, I have visited some good places and here where I found a peaceful and beautiful place with wonderful view. Statues look great against the water.The statues are about or perhaps more than 10 feet tall, and even so many storms already passed, the statues are still there. This place brought back memories from the past and the “I Shall Return” of McArthur turns out to be mine also “I shall return” here during my vacation with my family.
