Iligan city is within the province of Lanao Del Norte, is known for the home of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines and one of it is the Maria Cristina Falls which is also the second highest waterfall found in the country.

Maria Cristina Falls is a 320 feet high waterfall with a powerful current hammering on the basin of Agus river that serves as another source of energy for the locals of iligan. It was temporarily closed due to the late Marawi siege that occurred May 2017. I was fortunate enough and was allowed to view the majestic waterfall for several minutes.
